Low-Residency Accelerated Doctoral Program
I want to inform you of a unique opportunity for those of you who might be interested in new program offered at the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis (BGSP). Graduates of psychoanalytic training institutes who received certification on completion of studies can be enrolled in a blended doctoral program which includes distance learning from their home states and a very manageable on-site weekend intensive classroom experience. The pre-scheduled dates of the weekend classes in Boston would offer seminars in advanced comparative clinical training, research methodology and discussion groups to generate expanded view points on clinical intervention, contemporary issues in psychoanalysis and research in the field. Graduation from this program offers you a Doctor of Psychoanalysis (Psya.D.) degree that holds the accreditation of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). BGSP is the only regionally accredited independent graduate school of psychoanalysis in the country. For more information, contact Dr. Jill Solomon or Ms. Stephanie Woolbert at admissions@bgsp.edu, or call 617-277-3915.

Dr. Theodore Laquercia presents: COUPLES: THE PATH TO LONGEVITY
Dr. Laquercia, who encouraged the late Dr. Carol Brod to launch BSMP in 1984, will explore how couples can survive in the face of narcissistic feelings, and support the life drive to achieve harmony. The interaction with participants should illuminate the dynamic patterns that couples deal with as they live the life of the relationship. He will focus on understanding Needs and Wants and how they play out day to day, in all relationships. The constructive and destructive drives that are expressed overtly and covertly will be examined. The idea that we can achieve anything in our relationships without first understanding our imperfections will be explored, in order to create a deeper appreciation of ourselves and our partners. Fee $45 at the door, $40 with advance registration at erniebrod@yahoo.com or 917-602-9394.
170 Rugby Road, Brooklyn
Sunday, November 9, 10:30 AM The talk is followed by break-out group discussions and brunch
